The winners of the St. Paul Winter Carnival Ice Carving Competition and the Minnesota State Snow Sculpting Competition were announced Sunday afternoon. St. Paul Winter Carnival Ice Carving Competition Artists carved 300-pound blocks of ice during the first weekend of the carnival at Rice Park (temporarily nicknamed “Ice Park”) this season.

(ABC 6 News) — Friday marked the first day of the Minnesota snow sculpting competition at the St. Paul Winter Carnival. 13 teams are competing in the event at the State Fairgrounds, and they have until Sunday afternoon to finish their creations before the award ceremony.
