If your zipper lacks metal stoppers, grab a needle and thread to make stopping stitches at the bottom of the zipper. Molded-tooth zippers have strong molded teeth fused onto the tape of the zipper.

If the slider is loose and not gripping the teeth properly, use needle-nose pliers to gently squeeze the sides of the slider together. Test the zipper to see if it catches the teeth correctly.
