US President Donald Trump has raised the stakes for a meeting of an OPEC+ ministerial panel next month, with his call for the group to lower oil prices.

President Donald Trump called on the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries to lower oil prices during the World Economic Forum on Thursday, saying it would immediately end the war in Ukraine.

We want to see OPEC cut the price of oil. That will automatically stop the tragedy that's taking place in Ukraine. It's a butchering tragedy for both sides,' the US President told reporters in North Carolina on Friday.
