The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a $13 million, one-year contract with veteran right-handed reliever Kirby Yates.

Yates, whose 1.17 ERA was second only to Cleveland closer Emmanuel Clase (0.61) among relievers with at least 50 innings of work last season. The Dodgers designate Ryan Brasier for assignment.

The Dodgers’ offseason spending spree has included signing Blake Snell to a five-year, $182 million contract and inking Japanese phenom Roki Sasaki to a minor league deal.
