A plane carrying 104 passengers had to abort its takeoff from a Texas airport after a fire broke out in one of the wings.

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board said on Monday it is investigating a United Airlines flight on Friday from Lagos, Nigeria to Washington D.C., in which a sudden aircraft movement led to injuries of passengers and cabin crew.

Video on social media shows the wing of a United Airlines aircraft on fire before more than 100 passengers were evacuated ahead of a flight from Houston.

A plane was deboarded at George Bush International Airport Sunday morning due to a "reported engine issue." Video shows the plane catching fire.

Passengers began pleading to be let off the flight and one of them was heard yelling, “Please, please, get us out of here. It's on fire.”
