(AP) - The spate of recent aviation disasters and close calls have people worried about the safety of flying.

According to Scottsdale officials, the plane crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. MT, and the runaway was immediately closed.

A plane veered off the runway after landing at Scottsdale Airport on Monday and crashed into another plane, the Federal Aviation Administration says.
