A 29-year-old Irish man who died after falling 1,900ft while taking photos at a ski resort has been named and pictured. Aidan Bergin – described as a ‘kind, clever and fun soul’ – was on a slope near the town of Bansko, in south west Bulgaria when he lost his balance and fell last Tuesday.

Aidan Bergin (29) from Kylemore, Clonea, Dungarvan, Co Waterford, is understood to have been seriously injured after falling into a gully near the Todorka mountain peak, a popular ski resort in Bulgaria, on January 28th.

An Irish man, 29, has died following an accident near a ski resort in southwestern Bulgaria. A spokesperson for Razlog hospital told RTÉ News that the man passed away from serious injuries sustained during a fall near the Bansko mountain ski resort.
