Donald Trump will be sworn in as the 47th president of the United States on Monday at an inauguration ceremony that has been scaled back due to a forecast of severe cold weather in the nation's capital.

For the first time since 1985 and Ronald Reagan’s swearing in, the traditional stage outside of the Capitol will not be used instead. The swearing in will take place inside the Capitol Rotunda with a limited number of VIP guests.

On Monday morning, hundreds gathered outside the Capital One Arena to watch President-elect Donald Trump sworn into office and the modified inauguration parade.
