In the wake of Squid Game Season 2’s release, series creator Hwang Dong-hyuk has come out to claim that the franchise will continue even after the premiere of Season 3. Netflix’s South Korean thriller series took the world by storm in 2021.

But we will not have to wait another three years for season 3, thankfully, as both Netflix and creator Hwang Dong-hyuk have ensured that won’t happen by having no production breaks between seasons. The result is a season 3 of Squid Game that is much, much closer than we think.

Season 2 featured new games including mingle and a six-legged pentathlon, which had mini games like ddakji (where players flip red and blue tiles), spinning top, and gonggi (which is like jacks). It appears that next season, a game will involve not one but two killer dolls, meaning it could be twice as deadly as the others.
