A winter weather advisory has been issued for New York City, Long Island, the Hudson Valley and much of New Jersey, along with Connecticut’s Fairfield County ahead of a system expected to dump some snow,

According to James Tomasini, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, the five boroughs are in range to receive a general 1 to 2 inches of snowfall at the onset of Thursday morning’s winter storm.
