A cadet formerly from Connecticut died suddenly at Norwich University in Vermont this week, university officials confirmed Friday.

NORWALK — A former Norwalk resident who was a cadet at Norwich University in Vermont has died, officials said. Cadet Daniel Bermudez of the graduating class of 2028, died on Wednesday, Lt. Gen. John Broadmeadow, the president of the university, said in a statement posted on social media.

The student was identified as Cadet Daniel Bermudez, a member of the class of 2028, who attended Norwalk High School in Norwalk, Conn., according to the military college.

Chief Pierre Gomez said the department has completed its investigation into the death of Cadet Daniel Bermudez, class of 2028. Investigators found no signs of foul play.
