Donald Trump is going to the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday, the first sitting president to do so. The U.S. Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president, said in a statement Tuesday that it has had staff on the ground for days preparing for his visit.

Bush did attend a Super Bowl as a former president, taking part in the coin toss alongside Cowboys legend Roger Staubach prior to the Patriots’ upset win over the heavily favored St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI.508 That game, like Sunday’s, was held in New Orleans.

President Donald Trump will make history this Sunday by becoming the first sitting president to ever attend a Super Bowl. Super Bowl 2025, between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, will be played at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans this Sunday.
