AMD's next foray into the desktop gaming graphics card market was announced at CES today with the reveal of the Radeon RX 9070 XT And RX 9070.

Using new AMD RDNA 4 architecture, the 9070 XT and 9070 will compete with Nvidia's mid-range graphics cards, with RX 9060 to follow soon.

While all eyes are on NVIDIA for its RTX 5000 GPUs at CES 2025, AMD is also taking the opportunity to give us a glimpse at its upcoming RDNA 4 graphics architecture. While specifics are scarce, the company says its new GPUs will be built on a 4nm process with "optimized" compute units,

AMD is giving up the flagship battle with Nvidia, but there's still plenty to get excited about with the new RX 9070 XT.

AMD is previewing its next generation of GPUs at CES today, based on its latest RDNA 4 architecture that includes AI-powered FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) upscaling. The Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070 will both be available in Q1 from a variety of video card manufacturers,

AMD mentioned that RDNA 4 cards were on track to launch in early 2025 during a recent earnings call, acknowledging that shipments of current-generation RX 7000-series cards were already slowing down.

AMD has just gone through several new announcements for its upcoming products, and included in those were its upcoming Radeon RX 9070 GPUs, powered by FSR 4. AMD’s FSR technology is the company’s AI-upscaling tech that helps to improve game visuals and frame rates.
