After Mayor Brandon King's suspension, the council president and law director have laid their claims on the East Cleveland mayor's office.

Ruben Valdez, 66, Oakwood, appeared on a charge of OVI, a third-degree felony. The case was continued along with a misdemeanor charge of no operator’s license and stop sign violations.
