A years-long effort will see a complete revamping of Greenwood’s Main Street around Interstate 65.

The city of Greenwood boasts a marker on the Mississippi Blues Trail because it's where guitarist B.B. King performed his first live broadcast — in 1940 at the WGRM radio station on Howard Street.
