A pedestrian died from their injuries Thursday after being hit by a car in Gresham the day before, authorities said.

According to Gresham Police, the victim was originally taken to the hospital with what was thought to be a non-life-threatening leg injury.

The crash occurred in the 3800 block of Northeast Hogan Road shortly after noon, according to the Gresham Police Department. Officials said the driver was traveling “at a relatively slow speed” and was cited for careless driving after cooperating with the investigation. Police did not identify the driver.
