An Albuquerque police officer was shot and hurt early Friday morning after exchanging gunfire with a suspect. Police say this happened at an apartment complex on Montgomery Boulevard just east of Carlisle Boulevard. APD says the officer is conscious, was taken to the hospital and is expected to be ok. The suspect was shot and died at the scene.
