A brief wintry mix of freezing rain or sleet between 10 AM and 3 PM, then a cold rain through Sunday night. A tenth to a quarter inch of ice is possible, especially north of Knoxville into southeast KY. Temperatures will slowly rise through the 30s by sunset. There may be brief impacts with icy spots on roads during the day Sunday.

The heaviest precipitation will arrive late Sunday night into Monday morning, but types will vary greatly from north to south. Warmer air will create an icy mess for areas along/south of the 460 corridor. Meanwhile, big snow totals are possible for areas to the north. (Check the totals map below)
