Firefighters are investigating after a two-alarm fire broke out at an apartment building in Hartford Tuesday night and displaced several families. The fire was reported at a second-floor apartment on Tower Avenue around 9:30 p.

Fire officials said one woman was rescued through a stairwell of the building and another had to be rescued with a ladder truck that reached the third floor.

Fifteen people were displaced following a fire in Hartford Tuesday evening. The fire broke out at the Tuscan Apartments on Tower Avenue around 9:30 p.m., according to fire officials. Fire crews said that lots of elderly people live in the complex and were home at the time of the fire.
