A Zion National Park visitor was recently killed after falling on the park's Canyon Overlook Trail, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office.

SPRINGDALE, Utah – A man was found dead Sunday on a trail in Zion National Park. Park officials were notified about a dead hiker around 7:15 a.m. Sunday on the Canyon Overlook Trail. Emergency medical services arrived at the scene and pronounced the 37-year-old man dead a short time later.

The body of the 37-year-old man, who had been visiting the park with his mother, was found on a popular trail on Sunday, the authorities said.
