Iran currently has about 200 kg of uranium enriched to up to 60% purity, close to the roughly 90% of weapons grade, U.N. nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi told reporters at the World Economic Forum on Wednesday.

Iran is "pressing the gas pedal" on its enrichment of uranium to near weapons grade, U.N. nuclear watchdog chief Rafael Grossi said on Wednesday, adding that Iran's recently announced acceleration in enrichment was starting to take effect.

Iran has approximately 200 kg of uranium enriched to 60% purity, nearing weapons-grade levels. The U.N. nuclear watchdog stated this could potentially suffice for five nuclear weapons if further enriched.

During the World Economic Forum in Davos, Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), revealed that Iran possesses about 200 kilograms of highly enriched uranium.
