Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church – Short History. • Founded: June 16, 1927, Rev. Joseph J. Ostheimer, is named the first pastor to approximately 110 families. • April 28, 1928: 6.2 acres are purchased in Whitehall, PA to be used as a cemetery. • July 1, 1928: The Church, school and convent building is dedicated and used for the first time.
