I have a hard time seeing how you get to complete paralysis from compression from a hematoma for a few hours, which is then completely decompressed. I agree that it sounds like there was another injury involved, perhaps during the epidural

Dec 7, 2024 · I feel fairly confident in identifying patterns that look classic like textbook images but sometimes for whatever reason (bad spines, volume of contrast used, could be technique too) I get patterns that don't look classic for epidural, subdural or otherwise.

May 3, 2005 · Resumed taking ASA same night as the epidural. Over the next few days developed increasing unilateral lower extremity weakness, numbness and tingling with balance issues, but no loss of bowel or bladder control. MRI demonstrated a T8 epidural hematoma with cord compression. The patient was scheduled for surgical decompression.
