Jul 17, 2023 · Go to your browser and go to Convertio. Upload your photo, convert to MOBI. Once it’s converted, download it and send to your Kindle. There you can edit the title of your cover. On your kindle, go to settings, “device options” turn the “display cover” on. Whenever you’re about to lock your kindle then just open the cover.

Sideload the book to your Kindle, and every time you close your Kindle switch to the book that has the custom cover. It's a lot of work every time you wanna stop reading. It took about 10 seconds for me to get the notification that ads were removed. I then followed the instructions above (Goto settings, then screen and brightness) and had the option to "show covers on lock screen". Only after I "update cached metadata on this device" using Calibre, the cover shows on both lock screen and on Kindle's library. Besides, only when I turn on the wifi the cover shows on lock screen.

A little tip – once you convert the books to azw3 and send them to your device, you can open the device view in Calibre, highlight all your books, go to remove books from device, click remove books of a certain format and then select mobi and it will delete all of the mobi files, only leaving the azw3.

Apr 15, 2021 · For me the thumbnails break shortly after adding a new book. But if I then simply plug in my kindle with Calibre open, it fixes all the missing thumbnails. So plug in kindle, transfer book as azw3, eject kindle, unplug kindle, replug kindle, eject kindle, unplug kindle. Seems a bit dumb but works like a charm for me.

Feb 7, 2023 · For my "send to Kindle" books, this suddenly started happening about 10 days ago. Books that used to display covers on the lock screen don't anymore. It didn't affect books that I bought from Amazon. Those ones still display lock screen covers. There is nothing I changed, so something has changed on the Amazon back end.
