Dec 14, 2019 · I upgraded to the RCBS Trim Pro II some years ago, the lever and plates that hold the case are far superior to your version. With slight modifications to the cutter, or use with the 3 way cutter adaptor, my trimmer will cut every case to exact length. I also made a tray to catch the swarf as it falls for easier clean up. Oct 13, 2006 · The RCBS unit will flex if you push on it too hard and it may not be square to begin with if your luck is like mine. I finally broke down and bought the Forster trimmer. It seems to make square cuts on the trimming operation and I can neck turn at the same time.

The RCBS Trim Pro-2 Manual Case Trimmer was found to be an excellent tool, well made, efficient, easy to use and provided excellent accuracy. The universal case holder feature speeds up the process and, at the same time, makes it easier to install and remove cases.

I'm ready to take the jump and get a power 3-in-1 trimmer and the ability to microadjust trim length with the Hornady model is very appealing to me. Thanks!

Dec 8, 2024 · RCBS. Trimmer, Case prep unit. Kinda pain in the "but" to get the LOA just where you want it, but has the places for case in/out bevel, primer pocket, large/small, and primer hole! All in all, not a bad pick for me! Shoot on! Keeping some Powder Dri, for now

Dec 16, 2019 · The case trimmer will determine how square the case mouths are. The inside chamfer only needs to cut and add .003 to .006 to the case inside mouth diameter to be larger than the bullet itself.....if the chamfer reaches clean through the case wall thickness it could lead to problems like you are experiencing.

Mar 6, 2008 · from my experiance the redding is a better trimmer.the REDDING has the universal,adjustable case collet as the rcbs has interchangeable hell holders that tend to hold the case a little off center.and even if you buy the RCBS kit withthe shell holders that come with it are only nubmbers 2,3,4 and 10.so if you want to load say the short mags or ultra mags you would …
