I first started off working at my family machine shop/business and got to return all the metal scrap so I became quite familiar with the cashiers and employees there.
Hitachi Seiki HT-15 PLC battery dead, no ladder backup, scrap metal?
Nov 27, 2018 · I checked the plc backup battery and of course after two years it’s dead. The bad thing is I don’t have a backup copy of the plc ladder program. In the case of material for an 11" disc I would charge the customer for an 11-1/2" square piece of material...so 11.5 x 11.5 = 132.25 square inches x .07 (7 cents per square inch selling price listed above) = $9.25 for material.

Sep 16, 2012 · My best theory is this. Use a chalk box to make straight lines. Then every 2 to 3 feet, bore a 1\2" or maybe a 3\4" hole straight through the slab. Then using a gas powered hand held metal cut-off saw, cut a shallow scoring cut; along the chalk line to about 1\2" to 1" deep.

I felt sorry for them as the machine only had maybe 20 cutting hours...well kinda cutting hours as it never worked as advertised.

When you start the back step weld, the parent metal is cold. When you reach the previous weld, the parent metal is getting hot.
