Jul 31, 2014 · I just recently got fitted for Dramaticas and they are my new favorite shoe! They flatter my feet (most shoes don't) and the sizing is slightly different from the typical Bloch sizing, my last pair of pointe shoes were a size 5.5 XXXX Balance European (needless to say, they didn't work out well) and the Dramaticas I currently have are a size 6.5 XX and fit wonderfully.

Aug 11, 2022 · Slow Dance - Effective 1st January 2009 Slow dance to be split into three categories Novice (currently Beginner/Starter), Intermediate and Championship with the same age groups as for solos. Dancers to dance initially in the grade they are for Solos. Status cards will be issued for slow for 2009 with the cards for solos and pairs.

Apr 6, 2015 · 1. Sometimes other floors lose their ability to provide traction, and rosin is necessary. Honestly, I have only been on two floors in the past several years where I haven't had to either wet my pointe shoes or use rosin. 2. Rosin in the chunk, in my experience, is a lot stickier than when it is already ground up. Almost too sticky, for my liking.

I'm not sure that my regular teachers have ever referred to a jump in arabesque as a "temps levé" (they use that term to describe a jump in coupé) but I know I've heard it from other teachers (master classes, etc.) and have never seen the difference between it and a sauté in arabesque.

Jul 23, 2012 · So apparently, after the next feis, my class will be learning Job of Journeywork. I am actually excited to do a more difficult traditional set, and J.O.J. looks pretty fun, and I like the music.
