Nov 4, 2024 · Funded by a GOMESA bond, project will add a breakwater system to help protect the shoreline from erosion, storm surge, and coastal flooding from the St. Charles Parish line to Frenier. Crews have started placing rocks for the breakwater, which will eventually fill in with sediment to expand the land.
