Tweed Museum of Art is the art museum on the campus of University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD). As the steward of a growing permanent collection of more than 11,000 objects, the museum aims to continually improve access for present and future generations through exhibitions, institutional lending, on-request viewing, and digital/online portals.

The largest institutional collection of his work is housed in the Weisman Art Museum on the Twin Cities campus of the University of Minnesota. Biederman continued to produce paintings and sculptural reliefs until his death in 2004. Tweed Museum of Art is pleased to hold seven of his works in its permanent collection.

Please note that some galleries in the museum may be closed during exhibition installation periods and the museum is closed during university administrative and holiday breaks.

The Tweed Museum of Art is hosting a reception to honor Ken Boom's retirement after 15 years of service at the museum, Thursday, June 13, 2019, 6 to 8 pm. The reception is open to the public and there will be a cash bar, hors d'oeuvres, art and music.
