Apr 22, 2024 · The selector valve was still on the truck when I got it but frozen up so I changed it out with one that has a solenoid and does it automatically when the other tank is selected. I'm going to be adding an in cab tank as the main tank though and found a diagram of the setup and located the parts shown for it through Dennis Carpenter.

May 27, 2023 · Before front tank showed up, we did have the rear tank reading the fuel level and at the sending unit the test light was bright and solid. I'm horrible at auto electric, so I run out of ideas pretty quick. Also if anyone knows where I can print off a wiring diagram that will be readable and show dual tank wiring that would be great. Thank You!

Nov 3, 2019 · Replace the Evaporator Purge Valve. These go bad, cause a vacuum in the tank which causes it to pull in. If it still reads bad, you'll also need to pull the fuel pump assembly from the tank to replace it, because the tank pulled in enough to bend the fuel pump assembly.

Feb 17, 2019 · the diagrams don't match my filler hose to tank mount - I have press in snap like rings ( force fit) that presses a rubber down on a rubber seal around filler tube, replacing the part 8287 in diagram. There is not mount on tank for filler hose to go over. hence part of my confusion - nothing I have seen online matches exactly.
