Sep 20, 2020 · I think the 8th gen iPad is a worthy upgrade from 6th gen: faster processor, more RAM, larger screen, smart connector, faster charging brick. It’s probably not worth it if you have the 7th gen iPad.

Sep 20, 2020 · I don't know if Apple changed the charging circuit on the iPad 8th gen but the 7th gen was actually capable of pulling 15W from USB-C charger. iPad Pros (except 9.7) and Air 3 are capable of using up to 30W, though. Great when one needs a quick top-up.
